Description

D-Ring is a seal with a D-shaped cross-section, which is essentially an O-ring with a square base. It provides a large base contact area and the flat bottom ensures better stability in the groove, thus eliminating the possibility of twisting and spiral failure. The friction force is equivalent to that of O-ring, but the deformation of the cross-section is large under high pressure, so a retaining ring must be used to adapt to high pressure. D-Ring can provide good sealing effect in reciprocating motion, such as piston rod sealing for hydraulic and pneumatic. The D-Ring is not easy to be twisted and damaged during use, and when it works at low temperature, its contact pressure is larger than that of the O-ring, and it is not easy to be bitten. It is a rubber sealing ring with good self-sealing performance.
